Dr. Redinger taught a webinar with Lina Azuero of CDM, on September 8. The title of the event was “New ISO Standards and the Impact to the EHS and sustainability fields.” The event was sponsored by NAEM. It was one of NEAM’s best attended webinars since their webinar-series inception in 2010. Dr. Redinger’s piece focused on ways ISO 31000 can be leveraged to support EHS/S and vice versa how EHS/S can support 31000 in establishing a risk management framework.

Redinger EHS Launches the 360-Degree EHS/S Department Check-Up

When a company’s environmental health, safety, and sustainability (EHS/S) vision is blurred, it can lead to catastrophic events. Redinger EHS has developed an overall EHS/S department check up that increase 360-degree Vision and helps avoid Black Swan events and improve Organizational Health.

Much as an annual physical with a doctor examines key indicators of personal health, our 360-degree EHS/S Check-Up examines the EHS/S systems, structures, and practices key to the overall EHS/S department health and effectiveness. The 360 Check-Up looks at nine EHS/S systems over a two to three day on-site visit through interviews, document review and observation.

New ESHMS Assessment Tool Under Development

Redinger EHS is currently updating and revising its Universal MS Assessment Instrument. The integrated assessment instrument will cover ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ANSI Z10, the ILO OHSMS, and generic ISO MS. Modules are included to address ISO 31000 on risk management and Redinger EHS’s organizational transformation management system that layers on top of a 14001/18001 foundation, organizational learning and transformation concepts to accelerate organizational improvement. Publication date, Summer 2010.

Integrated EHS MS Course – October 9

Dr. Redinger will be teaching an integrated EHS at the PCIH Conference in Ft. Worth on October 9, 2010. The course will focus on the new generic MS published by ISO and how to use it in integrating ESH in an organization.
